The Royal
Navy Type 42 Frigate
- refit programme continues apace. At time of writing two ships are
equipped and in service, three more are nearing completion of their refit
and One ship set has just been despatched and orders have just been placed
for the equipment for two more ships.
Feedback form
the ships crew has been so positive regarding the performance of the new
fuel oil monitoring system and the operational time savings it provides
that we have been asked to provide proposals for extending it to cover
gauging on other tanks on the ship. We are also discussing possible use of
the system on other RN platforms.
Royal
Australian Navy Submarines
– the first two subs now equipped with PSM’s specifically designed DP
level transmitter, and in successful operation. PSM’s Australian Agents
Measurement Resources are holding further units to be fitted as soon as
docking schedules permit, and further orders are anticipated to cover the
entire fleet.
In
order to meet the incredibly demanding
performance specification for this equipment our Australian agents
arranged independent shock & Vibration testing of the transmitters to
peak levels of 1600G. The equipment survived with no effect.
